A Caring Voice for Childhood Bereavement
Our Story, Mission, and Values
You may recognise us by our previous name, CSKidsBooks. We’re now proud to be Beaumont Shaw – a new name that better reflects who we are and the work we do. While our name has changed, everything else remains the same: the same products, and the same commitment to supporting children and families with care and compassion.
While bereavement sits at the heart of what we do, we also publish a smaller range of children’s books that promote emotional literacy, kindness and understanding.
We believe children deserve honest, compassionate stories that meet them where they are.
All of our titles are written with care and sensitivity and are often used by:
- Parents and guardians
- Schools and nurseries
- Counsellors, therapists and psychologists
- Hospices and bereavement charities
- Armed Forces charities
As Beaumont Shaw, we continue the work previously known as CSKidsBooks, with a clearer focus and an expanding list of new voices and titles.
For parents. For carers. For professionals. For children who need the right words.
Alongside our children’s titles, our catalogue also includes:
- A dedicated book for teenagers and young adults, addressing grief in a more mature and direct way
- A supporting title for adults and professionals, designed to help open honest conversations about death and dying
This adult and professional resource was written in collaboration with John Adams, a fourth-generation funeral director and former President of the National Association of Funeral Directors, bringing deep professional insight and compassion to the subject.
We also work closely with schools, organisations and retailers and offer trade accounts for eligible partners.
